A while back we bought a gingerbread house kit. Kamryn could hardly wait to do it. So the other night we made it together and I think it turned out okay for our first time.
The true meaning of Christmas
Kamryn was in a Christmas program at her preschool. She did a great job singing, but she was like a statue up on stage. She stood very still and sang while all of the other kids were dancing and looking at themselves on the 2 big screens that were on either side of the stage.

Santa visit
This past weekend Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit a local shopping center. They rode in on a fire engine. They gave free rides to the kids, and Kamryn was beyond excited to ride on a fire engine! We got a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus and we were able to make an ornament at a ceramic painting studio. I had the girls in mathcing dresses, in anticipation of their picture with Santa. It was so funny because I had several people ask me if I made their dresses. It was a lot of fun!

Thanksgiving
Jeremy had to work Thanksgiving this year, so Kamryn, Macy and I headed up to Tehachapi for almost a week. The first night there, my mom and I saw New Moon. The theater was packed! We went to my parents house and had fun with my cousins, Andrew and Emily. My mom was taking care of her friend's chickens, so Kamryn got in on the action. We went to a holiday bazaar, then Kamryn got to help Nana decorate the tree. We went to Jeremy's parents house for another Thanksgiving with Sarah, Spencer, Gemma, Jared, Melissa, Carson, Brooklyn and Ashlyn. It was so cute having the babies sit together. They will be good friends someday!

Oh no! The big 3-0!
So I turned 30 yesterday! I know--it's sad I'm not in my 20's anymore. But my birthday was great, and Jeremy made sure of that. It started out with Kamryn's recital (see post below), then our friends, Tiffany, Kory and little Braxton came over to watch our girls for us so we could go to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! Yumm!
When we got back from dinner I had a surprise party! I have always wanted a surprise party, and it was great to have it on my 30th birthday. Jeremy was so sweet to put this together for me, he always makes sure I feel special on my birthday. Thanks babe!
In addition to Tiffany, Kory, and Braxton, Elizabeth came, along with Lisa and Peter, and Gina and Danny. It was so fun hanging out! I'm just sorry that Elizabeth and Gina's cars were towed. What a bummer ending to a fun night. Next time we'll have to have a happier ending. Surprise!
As the candles say (that Kamryn put on the cake) "Oh no the big 30!"
Kamryn helped me blow the candles out
The guys gravitated toward the football game
And the girls had fun hanging out and talking in the kitchen. Thanks to everyone that came, and we missed those that weren't able to make it.

Kamryn's recital
Kamryn had her first ballet recital on Saturday. Although she was a little thrown off in the beginning because she kept flying around the flower, then she forgot where to stand, she did a great job, and looked beautiful! Way to go Kamryn! Kamryn's class with her teacher.

Vacation
Jeremy was FINALLY able to take some time off for vacation this past week. We had so much fun! We did a lot of things around San Diego and then finished off the vacation by going to visit family in San Luis Obispo.
Day 1
On our first day we went to the Cabrillo National Monument. It was such a beautiful view from up there. We walked down to the tidepools, which Kamryn loved. And we saw the old lighthouse.
Day 2
On our second day we headed over to Balboa park and went to the science museum. Kamryn had fun laying on the conveyer belt at the grocery store station. Then she walked in the fountain. She was pretty excited we let her do that. She was cold afterwards though.
Day 3
Next day we headed to Jeremy's work so I could get a flu shot, and he had to make a few phone calls. Kamryn liked pretending that she was Daddy's patient. Then we went to Seaport Village. It is such a cute place with neat shops. We had some good fish tacos and walked around looking at all of the shops.
Day 4
Macy's first amusement park ride at Legoland!
Kamryn was an excellent driver. This is not bumper cars, so you have to drive around the track and afterwards you get a "driver's license". Kamryn was so excited about that.
The nation's capitol, made out of Lego's!!
The Empire State building. It is so amazing seeing all of the buildings made completely out of lego's.
Days 5 & 6
Another matching outfit that Ashlyn and Macy have.
Melissa's mom was gracious enough to watch our kids so we could go on a double date. We ate at CPK and then headed over to the movie theater to see "A Christmas Carol" in 3-D.
Macy is officially crawling now, and was always attacking Ashlyn.
Kamryn looked like such a tomboy wearing Carson's clothes. They were almost matching. She had a lot of fun in his gymnastics class.
Jeremy and Jared had a good game of football while the kids were in gymnastics.
The kids even got to cheer on their dad's while they were snacking and hiding out in the shade.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory caramel apple with sprinkles! Yummy! Later we went to Tahoe Joe's for dinner. It was great! While waiting for our table Melissa an I went to Forever 21. It was huge! It turns out that it is their 3rd biggest store. I am so jealous, I wish we had one that big here.
It was a great vacation spending time together as a family. And Kamryn and Macy were great little travelers. Now Jeremy is refreshed and ready to go back to his 80-hour work weeks!

Halloween
My parents came down to visit for Halloween weekend. We started out by going on a little cruise around the harbor. We went to our church trunk-or-treat, carved pumpkins, went trick-or-treating and passed out candy to the trick or treaters that came to our house. It was a lot of fun. Kamryn loved passing out the candy. She would tell people how much she liked their costumes and then wish them a Happy Halloween.
*On a side note, Macy's first tooth started to break through on Halloween. (this explains the night-waking!)
