Spring break

Spring break started off pretty good. Then Macy got sick with a cold and cough, with a fever. I felt bad for Kamryn that we weren't able to go anywhere since Macy was sick. Then just as Macy was recovering, Kamryn and Grant caught it. We avoided other kids so we wouldn't get anyone else sick. One of the days I took the kids to the pool. Poor Kamryn, hopefully the summer break we will all be healthy.

Sleeping

Macy didn't get her daily nap but was starting to fall asleep around dinner time. I kept having to wake her up so she could finish her dinner and go to bed. Another night when I checked on the girls, Kamryn was asleep with her book open and book light on. She is enjoying reading before bed.

Firefighters Egg Hunt

Our local fire department puts on an Easter egg hunt each year. The first thing we saw was the Easter bunny in a firefighter suit. Macy is definitely not afraid of those guys now. When getting down from the fire truck I tried to help her down and she told me that the Easter bunny was going to help her. So he did, and then she gave him a hug. So cute! The kids were sorted into age groups and got to collect as many eggs as they could. They got to explore the fire truck and had a lesson on fire safety. Chick fil-a was giving away free sandwiches. They decorated hats with bunny ears on them too and had face painting.

Report card

Kamryn finished her 3rd quarter of 1st grade. Her teacher had excellent things to say about Kamryn and we decided to go celebrate. Kamryn chose to go to dinner at Souplantation. Great job Kamryn!

7 months

Grant is 7 months and can sit on his own and is crawling around. He looks like a worm when he crawls. He kinda launches himself forward. He can get on his hands and knees but hasn't figured out how to use them both together to crawl yet. I love my little boy!

St. Patrick's Day

The girls had green milk and Lucky Charms for breakfast on St. Patrick's Day. Even their cereal milk was green, that tricky leprechaun! They both got gold coins, and rainbow candy.
