New Year's Mammoth trip

To end 2010 the girls and I took a trip up to Mammoth with my parents. It was a long drive and took about 8 hours to get there, but thankfully I had my mom with me to help out. The girls were actually pretty good in the car anyway. It had just snowed there so it was freezing! My mom and I skiied in the morning and then my dad and Kamryn would meet me for lunch and the three of us would go skiing in the afternoon. Kamryn made a lot of improvement since last year. We used the ski leash and she was actually turning on her own. We just need to work on getting her to stop. She and my dad had a couple of falls, but she did great! Kamryn got a weaving loom for Christmas so she worked on that while we were there and gave a pot holder she made to my dad for his birthday. She still loves to eat the snow and enjoyed taking the bus back to the cabin after we were done skiing. The second day we took her skiing she got to explore a little igloo. She thought there would be a polar bear in it, but it just had an opening on the other side. It was a fun trip and I can't wait to see her improvement next time!

Merry Christmas!

On Christmas morning while we were waiting for my brother to get up Macy snuck into the living room and started getting the Snickers out of her stocking. She thought she was so sneaky! One of the first presents Kamryn opened was the movie "Bolt" that she told Santa she wanted this year! She was very happy! She hand-made cards for everyone this year and it was so sweet to see her so excited for that person to open her gift. She drew a frog for Nana and a skier for Papa. She colored and cut out ornaments for Uncle Dan and made cards for Jeremy and me. I was happy to see her enjoying the "giving" part of Christmas. She definitely loves the Leapster she got from Grandma and Grandpa! Macy has had fun playing with the toys and books that she got. The girls are enjoying their little picnic table too. Kamryn also really wanted a scooter so she has had fun riding that around. Jeremy and my brother had fun playing Super Mario Bros on the Wii for a good chunk of the day too. It was another great Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve. My dad went out in the backyard to teach Kamryn how to cast her fishing pole. She was pretty good at it by the end of the lesson. Jeremy doesn't have much patience when it comes to presents, whether it is for him or someone else so he begged me to open the Wii a day early so he could get it set up. Kamryn and I made cookies for Santa while my mom put all the bows on the presents. After dinner we all went to Christmas Circle to look at all of the houses with their lights and displays. Macy had fun looking at the dancing and singing snowmen and Kamryn was happy to see Rudolph. Before heading to bed Kamryn wrote Santa a little note by the plate of cookies and left some carrots for his reindeer.
