Sea World

The military and their families get into Sea World free once a year, so we decided to take advantage of that this past weekend. It was pretty hot and crowded, but we saw all of the shows that we wanted to. Macy slept through the Shamu show, but she only slept for an hour total. The new dolphin show was our favorite! Kamryn had a blast climbing the nets in the Sesame Street area. Kamryn's favorite part was feeding the bat rays little fish.

0ur 4 day Baja Mexico cruise

Jared, Melissa, Jeremy and I went on a cruise to Mexico. We had so much fun! Thanks to my mom who watched our girls for us so we could have a little "couples" vacation. Once we got on board the ship we took advantage of the food and ate lunch. Next, we headed up to go play a round of miniature golf. I can't remember who won, but we had a good time unitl we set sail (or started to dock off as Jared called it) and it got pretty windy and cold. After that we booked our shore excursions. I guess I was so excited about it I froze up when the guy asked us which ones we were signing up for! Ha ha! Then we got some sushi and Jared and Melissa taught us a new card game. After dinner we were so tired we headed to bed. It must have been the rocking of the ship because we were all pretty sleepy, but we knew we had some fun days ahead!

Catalina Island

We had beautiful weather in Catalina! In the morning we had a snorkeling adventure scheduled. After filling out all the paper work for our "underwater park snorkel adventure" we went on a short walk to our dive site. It was right by the dome shaped building which once was a casino. We saw many fish and were able to see a sea slug and other creatures. Once I figured out how to breathe through the snorkel gear it was pretty relaxing. We really enjoyed it.






After eating our lunch on the ship we went back to the city of Avalon and rented a golf cart. We all took turns driving it and we had some beautiful views of the ocean. It was elegant night on the ship so we got dressed up and took some pictures and went to dinner. We had a yummy lobster tail and shrimp dinner. It was a fun time!

Ensenada, Mexico

Our next day was spent in Ensenada, Mexico. We started out going horseback riding in the morning. It was a bummer that it was overcast because the view of the ocean would have been amazing! It was still fun though. When we got back to the ranch after horseback riding they had made tacos for lunch. That was a nice surprise. Then we got to go look at the new pony that was only two months old.









When we got back to the ship we had to hurry and get changed and ready to go kayaking. It was about a 45 minute drive out to the Bufadora. I was pretty excited because I had never been kayaking before. I was a little nervous about tipping over, but they gave us some instructions before we headed out. We saw a lot of jelly fish as we were paddling out to the blow hole. It was pretty amazing to see and they let us get pretty close to it. When we were heading back we had a little more adventure. We had to go between some rocks and Jared and Melissa were the first to go through. We thought they were for sure going to crash into the rock and tip. But they made it through safe and sound! They gave us a little time to shop around and told us where to buy some good churros. It was a nice treat.







After eating dinner on the ship we went to the city to do some shopping. It's always fun bartering and feeling like you got a good deal. While walking back to the ship we had fun taking pictures of it while it was lit up at night. It was always fun to see what creation the housekeepers made out of our towels. That night back on the ship we watched a comedy hypnotist show. After that we headed to the pool deck and they had a little party going on. They had cool watermelon carvings, ice carvings, and a buffet. Melissa and I were most excited about the dancing they were doing. It was a fun filled day!
