First day of school

Kamryn started preschool yesterday. I have to admit I got choked up as I walked her to her class, and after I dropped her off. Although I am used to leaving her (ie: daycare) this just feels different. She was completely fine with it. She was playing with something at a table and told me I could go sit down at a different table. She loves the class pet turtles: Tess and Tilly. Her teachers are nice, and she is anxious to make new friends. This will be good for her. And now I get some one-on-one time with Macy.

Cousins and more cousins!

Carson was brave enough to do it!

They are so proud of their apples!

The water ballons were a blast!

We had an entertaining week last week. First, my cousins that live in Reno came to visit for a couple of hours. They have a son, Zach that is a couple years older than Kamryn. They played together great. They also have a little one, Andrew, who was born the day after Macy. I'm sure once they are old enough they will play well together too. Then Kamryn's cousins came to visit. We went to our ward's pioneer day bbq at the park. They had some fun games, like bobbing for apples, the 3-legged race, and water balloons. We went swimming afterwards to cool off, it is so hot! Macy and Ashlyn have a couple of matching outfits, not even purposely! So we had to take a "twinners" picture.

4th of July. . .

Happy 4th of July! Kamryn passed out right after the fireworks, while. . .

Macy was wide awake!

Macy's first time at the beach

Luckily Jeremy had the day shift for the 4th of July, so we were able to go watch the fireworks as a family. We met up with some friends and watched them together. We were right by a house that had really loud music playing the whole time. Then when the fireworks came on it turned to patriotic music. The show seemed a little short, but at least we weren't too far from home.
We went to the zoo the other day too. It was so hot that we only stayed a couple of hours. But we were able to see a few animals at least. Of course Kamryn loves to pretend she is the animal.
I took the girls to the beach with some friends from church. It was a little hard with a baby and a toddler and all of the sand, but we survived. It was a goreous day.

My friends Brigid and Emily made the trip down here to visit. We have been friends since elementary school, so we go way back. We had fun getting Brigid ready for a date and walking around the mall. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory too, which never disappoints!

Random stuff

When we moved here we received a coupon for a free haircut. So I decided it was time to chop off Kamryn's hair. She was pretty excited about getting her hair short too! I didn't realize how long her hair was until I saw about 4-5 inches of hair on the floor. She was very cooperative through it all. I also found this Bumbo seat from craigslist. Macy isn't in love with it yet, but it helps when she's got Kamryn to entertain her while she's in it. We bought Kamryn her first pet "Swishy, swish the fish". Unfortunately Swishy swish the fish died the same day we got him. I guess you have to let the chlorine evaporate from the water before you put the fish in. Also, Kamryn is becoming interested in taking our pictures, so I let her. I think she did a pretty good job.

Sea World

Now that we are so close, we were able to go to Sea World when Jared and Melissa visited us. Kamryn was much better behaved this time. She thought the pet show was hilarious, and loved petting the sting rays. We had fun swimming in our pool too! We were glad they drove down to see us and we could meet our newest niece Ashlyn. Ashlyn and Macy are just about as close in age as Kamryn and Carson.
