Are you ready for us Keith?
My friend Lily and I drove up to see Keith Urban in concert. Since it was in Paso Robles we went to Melissa and Jared's house first to have some dinner, and then the three of us drove up to the concert. It was so much fun. We walked through the livestock to get to the concert and Melissa made me touch a pig's nose. It was kinda gross. We made it in and we got to take a picture with Keith Uban! Woo hoo! Kris Allen, last year's American Idol winner, opened the concert for Keith. It was fun getting dressed up and dancing to the music. Lily is a huge Keith Urban fan, so she was so excited to be there. At one point Keith Urban came down into the audience and walked down the aisle. We were only one aisle away from him! We were hoping he would come our way, but he went back down the other aisle back to the stage. He was such a great performer and really got the audience involved. For his last song of the night he told the security to let us all have some fun, so a bunch of people made their way toward the stage, including us. It was a blast!

Welcome to Kindergarten!
Kamryn started kindergarten! She was so excited, especially when she found out her friend Dallin is in the same class. She has a great teacher and on her first day she had an orientation to find out where things are in the classroom and to meet her teacher. The teacher had them draw a picture of themselves and color it, then write their name and cut along the lines. They have a garden at their school so they all went outside to look at it and they planted their own pumpkin seeds. It was cute to watch. The next day was her real first day and she didn't have any problems walking into the classroom by herself. I got a little teary-eyed because my little girl is growing up, but I know she is going to have a great time in kindergarten.

Summer fun
We have had fun this summer. We went to the zoo with some friends and Macy loved looking at all of the animals. She had a lot of fun seeing the flamingos. They had a cute baby flamingo walking around with them too. Chick-fil-A had a promotion where if you dressed like a cow you got a free meal, so the girls and I did our best and we got to eat for free. Yeah! Kamryn had fun at crazy sock day and crazy hair day at her kid's camp she went to and she is enjoying her swim lessons.

4th of July
This year for the fourth of July the girls and I made the trip up to my parent's house. Our first night there we had tri-tip for dinner and then we made s'mores for dessert with the leftover hot charcoal. It was great. The next day we woke up and saw the traditional hot air ballons. They are always fun to see and I still want to go in one someday. We headed over to the lake to see all of the neat booths they had set up. Kamryn got her face painted and got to go on a bounce house with a slide. She had a blast. Later that day we went to the pool and Grandpa came out and joined us. Both Macy and Kamryn had a fun time in the pool. After we got home from church we went outside to play with my parent's dog Molly. Macy had so much fun trying to get the ball when Molly would drop it and then Molly would grab it out of her hands. Molly is quite a bit bigger than Macy so she knocked her down, but Macy was fine with it. That night we left Macy at home with Papa, so my mom, Kamryn, my brother and I went to go watch the fireworks. We had an interesting drive into town to watch the fireworks. We were following a drunk driver! Luckily no one was hurt and the police finally came and pulled him over. Kamryn's favorite firework was one that looked like a smiling cat face with whiskers. It was a short but fun visit.
