The Friday before Mother's day we went to BJ's restaurant as a family. The food is always good, especially the pizookie dessert. Macy and Kamryn were trying to get every last bite of the dessert, it was funny to watch. Jeremy got me flowers and the girls gave me some very sweet cards and a homemade gift that Kamryn made in school. On Sunday night Jeremy made the best filet mignon ever! He didn't even use A1 sauce on it and he has never done that with any steak before, that's how good it was! It was a nice Mother's day.

Mother's Day

The girls
The girls have been having a lot of fun together lately. Macy hasn't been taking naps before church so by the time we get home she is passed out on the couch. I put Kamryn's hair in pig-tails for school and Macy wanted to look just like her big sister. It looked really cute on both of them. However, Macy's hair was in desperate need of a professional haircut so on May 2 I took her to a local place to get it done. She loved sitting in the car and watching a movie while her hair was cut. The even styled it for her afterwards. It looks much healthier now. The next day was a pretty hot day here so we went to the pool for the first time this year. The girls had fun, but the water was freezing! They were shivering after a little while so we didn't stay too long.

Minivan mom
I always thought I would be an SUV mom and was opposed to being a minivan mom. Never say never! With the upcoming arrival of our third child, a minivan just made sense. Kamryn loves it! She loves the sliding doors and the built in DVD player! I must admit the ease of opening and closing the doors at the push of a button is pretty nice! We got a good deal on it too which made it even better!

Back to school lunch
To welcome the kids back to school after their spring break, the families were invited to join them for lunch. So Macy and I met up with Kamryn at lunch time and then afterwards I dropped off Macy at our friend April's house while I volunteered in Kamryn's class. They celebrated her birthday that day at school by singing to her and having her blow out the candles on a fake birthday cake. Only healthy snacks are allowed at school, so no cupcakes for her classmates. She had fun being the center of attention for a few moments though.

Easter
The night before Easter I went to check on Macy and she looked so cute sleeping on her dog pillow pet that I had to take some pictures. Before we had our Easter egg hunt on Sunday morning we had a little lesson on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each egg has an item in it that represents either the crucifixion or resurrection. It is a pretty neat lesson that helps us all to remember the reason we celebrate Easter. After that the girls were anxious to see their Easter baskets and hunt for eggs. They each got a new bathing suit, and Kamryn got candy and the movie Tangled, and a new electric toothbrush and watermelon toothpaste. Macy got some crayons, candy, and a bucket filled with sand toys for the beach. They had fun finding the eggs and even took some time to eat along the way. Later we went to church which was a great end to our Easter.

Dying Easter Eggs
The Friday before Easter we dyed our eggs. It was fun to watch Macy pretty much throw the egg in the cup. Kamryn had fun dying the eggs as usual.
