Jeremy's birthday

Jeremy and I went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory for his birthday. The next morning our whole family went to eat breakfast at the Broken Yolk. It was so yummy. When we got home we went over to the park to play for a little while and then had brownies for dessert that night. For his birthday present, he ordered a UFC fight on pay per view. Happy 32nd birthday!

Visit to Jared and Melissa's

Jeremy had time off and so we headed up to Jared and Melissa's for a long overdue trip to their house. Melissa had created beautiful heart-shaped swans with our bath towels to greet us. The kids were pretty much in the garage the whole time, we barely saw them. Kamryn, Carson and Brooklyn had their first sleep-over and it went well. They watched a movie, learned some magic and went to sleep. Jeff and his girlfriend Justine came over to play games. When we played scum the girls were in the highest place all at the same time so we had to get a picture. Then we played Jenga and made the tallest tower ever, I think it was 34 blocks high! The kids played great on Saturday. They made comic books from the Lego website, Ashlyn and Macy were playing with the pillow pets and the doll house. I got a pic of Jared and Jeremy watching sports with their boys! Melissa's mom graciously offered to watch the kids so we could go out on a date! We went to a great sushi restaurant in downtown SLO and then we went bowling at Cal Poly. Melissa's sushi socks and bowling shoes were a great representation of our night. We went to church on Sunday and hung out and had great hot chocolate while playing games. Before leaving for home on Monday, Kamryn was letting Ashlyn wrestle with her and then she got to walk Carson to school and then drop off Brooklyn. We had a great time visiting and stopped for lunch at Island's on the way home. What a fun trip!

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland on January 3rd and it sure was crowded! Most schools were still on winter break so we were only able to ride 6 rides that day. Kamryn was disappointed she didn't get to ride any "big" rides, but we will be sure to go again on a day that won't be so crowded next time. It was still neat to see It's a small world and Sleeping Beauty's castle at night.
