Las Vegas vacation

Jeremy came up with an idea to try to go to a different state each summer for vacation. Since we already went on a cruise this year we decided to go to Las Vegas, Nevada since it is the closest to us. We stayed at the Wyndham and it was great. The girls had their own room and couldn't have been happier. Grant's pack n' play fit in the bathroom and Jeremy and I had the master room. It was nice to have a kitchen so we didn't have to eat out every meal. The girls loved going to the game room at the resort and of course swimming! On Sunday we drove to the Las Vegas temple and walked around for a little while and then headed back to go swimming. On Monday we walked the strip a little. We went into the M & M store and watched a short movie. We headed down to the MGM to look at the lions only to find out that they don't have them anymore. So we ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. We saw an eel in the aquarium there and that was neat. Tuesday we stopped at the Ethel M. Chocolate factory and got a sample of chocolate and then looked at their cactus garden. The girls were pretending to get poked by the cactus, and then it actually happened! Kamryn got a thorn stuck in her finger, but thankfully Dr. Dad pulled it out. After that we headed over to see the Hoover Dam. It was pretty amazing! When you walk the dam, one side is Nevada and the other is Arizona. Kamryn thought it was cool to be standing in two states at one time. Of course we did more swimming when we came back. Kamryn loved going swimming at night with me, she had never been before so she thought it was neat. On Wednesday we walked around the Venetian and then over to the Bellagio to watch the water show. On Thursday we went to the Silverton to see the mermaids and walked around the Bass pro shop and then went to Circus Circus. The girls played some games and then we watched some circus acts. The next day we came home. It was a fun family vacation.
