Our winter adventures

We have a lot of catching up to do since it has been so long since I've posted anything. This year for my work Christmas party we had a pizza party at my boss' house. We wore chef hats and made our own personal pizzas. Then the kids were able to make homemade ice cream. It was a lot of fun!

We had a little Christmas of our own here before we headed up to Nana and Papa's house for Christmas. Kamryn's princess box is now overflowing with dresses and accessories to wear. Kamryn was so excited that Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk we left for him. My parents still had snow at their house and it snowed on Christmas day, so Jeremy and Kamryn went sledding. It was a little icy, so they got going pretty fast!

For New Year's we went to Mammoth with my parents. We decided to put Kamryn on skis for the first time and put her in ski lessons. It didn't work out as I had expected. All she wanted to do was eat the snow! Either that or wander away from the rest of the class. Jeremy and I were secretly watching her and we were laughing! She seemed so bored. They only had the kids put on one ski, and that was only for a little while. Then they had the kids go up this escalator type thing that took them up the tiny hill. On the way down they played red-light, green-light. She was starting to get into it, and then they went inside for a snack. After that, she wouldn't go back out to finish the lessons. So my parents took her up the poma and skiied down the hill with her between their legs. She loved it! She kept saying "Papa go faster!" I'm glad she at least has a good memory of skiing. We'll have to try again maybe next year or the year after. We enjoyed all of the vacation time.

It's official

We found out officially today that once Jeremy graduates, we will be headed to SAN DIEGO! We are really excited to be able to stay in California for a little longer at least. Now we can actually start looking for places to live. We are excited for this new adventure.

'Tis the season

I really love Christmas time, it is so fun to decorate. Jeremy thinks I have more Christmas decorations than any other 29 year old. (not true) We have had fun decorating our tree and going to Disneyland. I love Disneyland this time of year! Kamryn has no fear of Santa either, she'll just go right up to him and tell him that she REALLY wants mermaid fins this year for Christmas. I've tried to tell her that maybe a mermaid dress is more realistic. We'll see what he brings!

We are having a. . .

Well, today we went to the doctor and found out we are going to have a GIRL!!! We are very excited! Kamryn will be a great big sister, and I'm sure will show her the ropes on how to be a girl. We do have a name picked out, but I'm not sure how we will spell it yet. Here is a pregnant picture of me right before we left for the appointment.

Halloween festivities

This Halloween was filled with fun. A week before Halloween our church had a trunk-or-treat. That is when the kids go trick or treating to people's trunks instead of going house to house. So that was the beginning of the candy. Then on Halloween, Kamryn's friend had a Halloween party. All of the kids wore their costumes, ate food and made a cute candy corn magnet. Then we went trick or treating with Jared, Melissa, Carson, and Brooklyn and Erin and Keith came too. Daddy met up with us late because he was stuck in traffic on his way from San Diego. Kamryn was very happy to see him!

*Sorry there are a ton of pictures

Kamryn with a couple of friends from church

Carson was giving Kamryn a kiss!

Jared was a crazed Michigan fan, Melissa was a pink fairy, Carson was a cowboy and Brooklyn was a ladybug.

I was supposed to be a Mardi Gras person.

Erin was Bella from Twilight. Keith wore the pirate wig I bought for Jeremy.

The Four Pumpkins

Normally we only have three pumpkins, but this year we have four. You can probably guess whose each pumpkin is, but you may be wondering about the little one in front of mine. That one Kamryn picked out for the baby that will be in our family mid April. I am 17 weeks pregnant now, and we will be finding out what we are having in 2 weeks!!

*See below for the pumpkin patch pictures, and stay tuned for the trick-or-treating pictures next week.

The pumpkin patch

A couple of weeks ago, we went with Kamryn's co-op preschool friends to the pumpkin patch. It is in West Hollywood, and we were hoping to see some famous people there, because it is known for that, but no such luck. It was fun picking out a pumpkin, but it was probably 97 degrees, way too hot for October.

We posed all of the kids on the huge rocking horse

Mama even got on for a quick pic

She thought this pumpkin was so cute!
